For those who haven't attended, there's a couple of route options depending on your departure point, risk tolerance etc.
In 2024 a handful of us stayed at Ivanhoe on the Friday night, and came in from there - and saw the biggest collection of Kanga's, Goats and Emu's I've seen in a fair while. Clearly a sign of a good deal of rain this year and a lot of feed around = reports from other directiosn were much the same - maybe someone will post an update as the year wears on.
With a 7am departure and a sedate pace we had time for a sit down breakfast at the newish Cafe in Wilcannia that was really good Wilcannia Cafe. And reports from other directiosn were much the same - maybe someone will post
The Broken Hil area ia another staging area Friday night that makes for an easy run in on the morning, (With breakfast at Little Topar Roadhouse)
And a fair sized cohort make Cobar for Friday and again Saturday nights. Its a little further (no problem to this group ;)), with breakfast at either Emmdale or Wilcannia.
And of course, you can also just time your run to go straight through for a 10.30am tire kicking session before we start the Remembrance at 11am Sharp
