In the absence of anything going for May down my way, thought I'd organise another ride. This time to Moulamein, NSW. Rider-registration is now open at Ridemaster link (https://rides.jasonjonas.com/index.php) just click on the Moulamein (NSW) iRode Ride link.
Good morning all .
I do have a question or 2 ..
The May 6 , Moulamein ,Tattersalls Hotel run ..
Is it , or will it become a ... Time , Distance , location registrations FR ride , or a GTR .
If a registration ride ..
How do we ?
Cheers Roy FR 1058
Hi Roy, maybe PM Taffey as he said he was going to put a link to registration on Ride Master.
Although having registration on this site for an iRode makes more sense.
I'm planning on making it as an iRode 1000.
Might see you there.

Just takes a couple of minutes longer.
Again well done Taff.
Thanks Taffy, I'm pretty used to this stuff, and the blue type hints are very useful too.
Thanks Taffy , getting my head around the 2 platforms . Ride Master and I Rode ..
Thanks for your work , not registered as yet ..looking at a 1000k run...
Intend to leave home at Stupid " O " clock Sat May 6 , do the 800 ish , plus is before lunch ,
The last couple of hundred after lunch .
Then overnight .
Hoping we can still do that , and not have to have to complete chosen distance on check in .
Truly looking forward to this ride .
Cheers . Roy

I have .. well think , I'm kinda around a Ride Master registrations ....
However , Zig Zig says he is registered up for an I Rode 1000 .
How on earth could , can , does one do that ???
The fog is getting thicker :o
Cheers Roy 1058
Hiya Roy, from memory, and yes it is alarming I can't remember how I did this last week, too many other things being mentally digested, when you register on Ridemaster there is an option to select the ride you are nominating for. There are several to choose from. Tick the box for the ride you are planning on riding.
I can't check this process as I've already registered.

Thanks everyone ..
The fog cleared a bit ..
Got myself registered on Ride Master for Moulamein .. even think I've got myself registered for an iRode 1000
So all being well , there is a fair chance I might get in for 11 am ish checkin
Take care all , be safe out there

Another Farroad event done and dusted
16 souls took on flood ravaged roads, the odd speed camera and the occasional sets of road trains, one after another to venture to Moulamein.
Now when I was last in Moulamein, things were a little dicey with water lapping at the township's doors, so with that in mind, and water levels thankfully down, I thought a ride to spend some shells would be a good as any excuse to get out on the road.
I personally set out for a hobbits run (there and back again), leaving a very wet, cold and miserable Adelaide Hills at 4 something am. It didn't leave a lot of time to do the usual photographic coverage, regretfully, but I did manage to pip two other riders to first the front of the Tattersalls Hotel in Moulamein (GZ).
16 riders had indicated interest, 13 via Ridemaster and 3 via the Down the Road Facebook group and 16 dutifully arrived within the 30 minute book-in time.
Pleasingly, most stayed on for a lunch at the very accommodating pub.
Tall tales were told with a number of identities holding court while a number of us listened on with a keenness that only a long-distance rider can comprehend. But all too soon, time had moved on and riders were progressively bidding farewell until next time.
Thanks to everyone that made it. A genuine pleasure to coordinate for the excuse of getting out there in the landscape; just rider and their bike.
Until the next one.

Good turn out Taffey and great pics.
Well done everyone
Thanks for organising Taffey. I chose to bail on the planned iRode 1000 after a long tough week at work. Made it a weekend ride. It was great to get some distance under the wheels and chat with fellow riders. The venue was like a fascinating time warp and the food was great. Hopefully next time the riding gods will align better.

Very well done by all, especially the organiser. Hopefully setting the bar for future iRodes. The drone shot is hard to beat!
