Would it be possible to list the remaining FR rides in the Calendar?  Happy to assist in the remaining SA ride to Port McDonnell.

Will Far Roads being running their own rides to the same destinations, on the same dates with checkin at the same times, as Taffey listed above?

Alternatively, the rides could be a private gathering of like-minded riders who decide to meet for a chat and maybe lunch at those locations and times.

If they are "FarRides only", then I will not attend as I have zero interest in attending any future FarRides.

Just asking!

That's how I see it- FarRoaders will be attending the planned locations and, I would hope, be issued with FarRoad numbers if they check in on time.  That would be an appropriate way of closing off the past by transition.

I'm with Daisy.  The rides are there, just to complete a calendar. I think Biggles has jump the gun a little with his enthusiasm, as there is no recognition of the ride, either by FarRiders, as it no longer exists, or even FarRoads, as there is no registration process in place yet. It's just clearing out the the ride calendar.  Not that I'm admin, however I would expect that the registration process will be put in place, before any FarRoad rides can be put in place.  My 2 cents worth. I'm still a chance for Port MacD, if all my plans go wrong.

Yes, run out the FarRiders calendar and take it from there.

I've an account with Rider Master for registrations so that's covered. First iRode guessing will be in the new year.

It's a ride to a location for like minded folk to meet and have a lunch if you so wish.

No registration.....that's how I see it.

So just to clarify, with no registration or check in, making it a 1000km ride is a personal choice? I was planning on doing this as a 1000km ride when it was put on the planner but I could just ride , meet, eat, chat and ride instead?

I was hoping not to wait until next year to begin issuing numbers.
Operating the Check-in window and 1000km/24 hour honour system isn't onerous and provides continuity rather than an extension of the hiatus.

I have a number so that isn't an issue. I'm keen to get a Farrode/irode number but I can wait.

I was just wondering if the check in window was going to be operating or as you say Biggles, on hiatus. If it is on hiatus that is fine too and I'll just ride there for lunch.

The Tassie FarRide will just be a ride for whoever.  I will do 1000km, just because.

Personal choice if you want to do a 1000km ride.

I will just be riding there to meet folk @ 11:30am then have lunch at 12noon and then turn and head for home.

The obligation to do 1000km and arrive in "The Window" was always only to get a FR number or have the ride recognised in the database.  You could always just pop in for a social ride.  And so it will continue, once Far Road Rides are scheduled, I imagine.   ;)

Thanks Biggles and Kimmie, you've answered all my wondering. I'll do some thinking and come up with a plan. Still some time before Port Mac. and time to ride before that.
