Just looking for a clarification and guidance on completing a iRode 1000 at the upcoming Border Inn at Apsley ride please.

If I get a start docket say 7 pm Friday evening, do a couple of hundred kilometres out and back to my house, spend the night in my bed, set off in the morning to the check in at the Border Inn, chat for a while then ride home before 7 pm Saturday, is that acceptable?

Here's a brief summary of the rules for your iRoad 1000 long-distance motorcycle events:

  • The Rule that Rules all other Rules. Finish safely, regardless if you qualify or you don't. Ride and get home safe to your loved ones.
  • To qualify as an iRoad 1000 finisher, you must complete 1000 km within a 24-hour period.
  • You may start at any time and from any location.
  • The only requirement (aside from doing the kms) is to check in at a designated location during a specific 30-minute window, which is announced as part of the ride promotion.
  • Please present your starting docket at check-in.
  • Some riders finish their ride at the check-in, while others check in during their ride. It's even possible to start the ride at the check-in location. So what you're proposing works.

Let me know if I can clarify anything further as I am always happy to help.
