I have the Goldwing parked in Ross Carsten. Hang in there, I'm dying to get along to a Tassie iRode

I've googled up a 1000km ride.

Starting in Ross at 1235hr or so Friday, heading over to Strahan, up to Burnie and back to Ross for the night.

Saturday head north, then east for some passes, meet up for lunch for the 1000km, then return to Ross off the clock via St Marys and the Lake Leake Road.

Unfortunately my flight has been affected by birdstrike. Crikey.

I won't have time to do the things I wanted to in Tassie so I'm a no-show for this Saint Helens ride.

Hi all.  What a fantastic day for a ride.  Started at 6.20am, up the Midlands Highway, left at Melton Mowbray, through Bothwell and up the Lake Highway past Great Lake to Deloraine, for coffee.  Beautiful sweeping roads against a blue sky.  South on the Bass Hgh, Midlands Hgh, left at Conara Junction and passing Fingal, Avoca (several times forward and back) to St. Helens for lunch with Mick. Great lunch.  North on the east coast road to Bridport, Scottsdale, Exeter, Devonport and home by 8 pm.  1004 km done on the Tiger Exp 1200 with ease.  Even if the cars decided that 90 km/h was a good highway speed.
I'll post ride dates for next year soon, depends on 2024 trackday dates.
Thanks

Fattymick my Newcastle to Mebourne flight was cancelled and I would have landed in Launceston after lunch Friday, already 'on the clock'.

Too late to get done what was necessary prior to the ride.

Next one, next one...
