Hi to all you East North Far Road riders.
Things have been too quiet here of recent weeks.

Let's make Kwaka's job easier by posting up possible ride destinations for 2023.

Do you want to return to old stomping grounds or do you want some fresh locations that are worth a try.

2023 is only 32 days away!!

Goodonya for keeping this alive.
Theodore was proposed at one stage and then dismissed.  Emerald is another inland jewel.  (see what I did there?  ;D )  Mt Morgan has a lot going for it.

Sure does. That road is magnificent, especially going up. It's short but very sweet, and I'd love to ride it again on the 900.

We live on a reasonably sized continent ..
with many places and towns yet too be visited . .. yes , I agree with Phillip .
Maybe this the perfect time to introduce other destinations into the mix , keeping nearby fuel and accommodation in mind .
Oh , forgot current flooding on East Coast .
Figure in a year .. it will be drought , Again ..
Maybe a future ride or two in those flood affected regions could be considered .
Stay safe all .

Ok guys and girls we are distance riders so let's start thinking about using the same principle of seeing this great land and supporting some of the areas hurting a little bit in these tough times.  Let's look at places like Mt Isa, Longreach, Barcaldine is a nice little town, Winton, Hughenden has a number of entrances from all direction, and a lot of other places similar.

They all have a few challenges getting there but half the fun is the ride after all.  Let's get this planning done so we can get back to doing what Davo started us all on the path of.  These small towns have great history so I am sure we all know somebody close to one of these types of towns to get something sorted and recommendations.

I am keen for Hughenden.  Also keen to do it when things are a little cooler. What about May 13. Is this what we need to do pick something and make it happen or do we suggest it and some else says yeah that will work and sticks it in the calendar. I'm not sure how this bit happens but I am keen to do a ride to eat.
Happy to anchor a Eungella one some time.

Hey Hop.  I organised the first Eungella FR with Thommo so I'd be up for another ride as it is literally just up the road from where I grew up in the valley.

Can I possibly suggest Richmond instead of Hughenden as I think it's a better range of accommodation with the new Midway servo having extra rooms and cleaner fuel because of the traffic flow.  Just had problems with Hughenden before that's all.

Yes happy with Richmond. Funny I have never been there cause I have always joined that highway either to the east heading east or the west heading west. Never gone Townsville to Mt Isa. So what about the date and how do we get it on the calendar?

Last time I went Biolela had a reasonable caravan park with numerous cabins numerous motels and hotels and has plenty of roads leading into it from all directions and we have had an STOwners meet there before.

Let's make it BILO boys and girls and we need to look at a reasonable time frame so who's got a date?

Bilo's a scant 187kms from me at Mount Perry, happy to do a big square to get there though.
As to date, I'm retired so every day's a chooseday.

Eungella was a great event and has always been my favourite among many.
Got to love those mid bend grids on a wet morning.
